After battling the dating anxieties as I wait to see what a certain someone's next move is, I decided I really cannot stand modern dating and relating. This is one thing that could make me spit fire and shit explosions, dating in the modern world is for assholes! I swear if I could get away with being a self reliant spinster,believe me I would (thanks social stigma!). However a women still cannot be seen as complete without being married or having some sort of romantic partnership.
Why does this Oyster hate dating? I was not raised for and can't seem to adapt to the modern world of douchebaggery. What happened to good old fashioned courtship? Dating to find someone to spend the rest of your days with is now dating to find someone to spend the next five minutes with.
I cannot tell you how many times I've heard "Keep the playing field open?" am I one of the few human beings who didn't take that as "Grab as many people as you can and keep your fly open!". Does one person really need a date every week of the month or day of the week with a different person? I fail to see how this method accomplishes anything. Keeping any sort of repose with someone of interest seems to be completely lost.Which brings me to the parasitic behavior of the dating world.
Breaking up is hard to do,but when was it okay to just not do it? People are so afraid of confrontation that the common courtesy of "Hey I don't think this is working anymore." was completely abolished? Anymore people are left with radio silence until they decide it's time quit carrying the torch for someone. It's okay to find someone else,but what is not okay is to just leave your significant other just hanging. Get some balls and tell them you found someone!
Being single for a while is not a death sentance,trust me if it was I would've been dead a while ago. Jumping from one person to the next like some sort of parasite is sickening,it's exactly what it seems like: desperate. If you pair that up with failure to provide closure and end things with your previous beloved,you deserve to be shot.
This post could go on forever and ever honestly. To my gentle readers,be more considerate when your dating. You could save yourself from being a topic of a hateful blog post and just being another statistic assbag.
